Black Bayou Benton paddle
Five BCOS members braved the heat to paddle from the Old Palmetto boat ramp in Black Bayou Reservoir on Saturday June 13th. Cloud cover and a nice breeze kept the heat bearable. A variety of birds were observed along the way including a string of ducklings. We paddled almost 5 miles into the channels, around the island and back again in just under 2 hours. Thanks to all who came out to enjoy the good weather.
