New kayak launch on Cypress Lake!

The Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Area has installed a kayak launch at the Hwy 162 boat ramp on Cypress Lake. This is a great improvement to the muddy bank that has challenged many of us over the years. Thanks to John Oswick and his CBBRA crew!!

hiked 5.5 miles at a leisurely pace. The temperature was in the low 50's and cloudy skies - perfect for hiking! There was still a good bit of leaf color on the freshly blown off trail.
