Don't try Wenks Landing IT is riddle with tornado debris. It took us 7 hours to do 7 miles when we scope in out last summer. Use to be a great paddle but not now Huge trees all over the bayou we had to climb over and some under. MOSTLY OVER TREES

That was before I started with BCOS but, I have heard lots about those days. That those paddles were quite fun from what I hear from time to time.

We can still do a day paddle. Typically back in the day when I started going on this paddle we originally run it in august with the John & Cathy Joyce. Reason being was the water level for the 2 water features we like on that run. Tiger Fang Falls and Bump Bumping Rocks where we swam and took our lunch break. We can do this I can lead this day and I will probably put in back on later to do the other sections of the Sabine Sandbar run Or vice-versa. We run this at about 8' water level

I have Dorcheat Paddle on May 21st I just have not gotten it put on the events tab yet.

Only A 17 mile shuttle from Tx Hwy 63 put in to the Bottom at Martin Dies Jr. State park. It says you need a back country pass to stay on the COE which is free.

Never thought about The point number 1: Great idea with the P on both sides. I am going to do that and home and try it out. 😄 The point number 2: Yes defiantly update maps always and make sure you always point North North. I have met a person that insist North goes South on the GPS 😳
