Have been "retired" for about twelve years now. Have always been an avid "outdoors" person, love hiking and backpacking, swimming (swam Alcatraz), surfing ( five days a week for decades), have run many marathons and several triathlons. Grew up and lived a good part of my life along the coasts of CA from Monterey to San Diego. My wife, Marcy, and I moved from So Cal to Haughton in 2017 and have been doing hikes, swims, and riding my bike (with the Shreveport Bicycled Club and solo) for the last seven years.

A good friend finally talked me into tryin a kayak trip and have been loving it.
