Tubing the Ouachita!

Saturday, August 12th, is the long awaited tubing outing on the Ouachita River near Hot Springs. We will be floating from Remmel Dam to the Whitewater Park in Rockport. Some people want to kayak and other paddle boarding but the majority will be tubing. Whatever floats your boat! We will meet at Remmel Dam at 10:00 am on Saturday morning and run shuttle.  We will NOT put on the water until after they release from the dam! Last year we got on the water around 11:30 am and they didn’t release until 1:30 pm! It’s about a 2.5 hour drive from Shreveport via I-49 and I-30.  Weather will be all the way down to the mid 90”s!  Make sure to wear sunscreen and drink lots of water.  And wear your PFD! Some of us will be leaving on Friday and spending the night in Hot Springs. Others may want to shuttle on Saturday morning.  I’ll compile a list when I hear back from folks and we’ll go from there.
