Here's the tentative agenda:
Leave Shreveport/Bossier early Saturday morning July 9, say around 7:30ish. Arrive at Remmel Dam in Malvern around 10:30. Tubes in the water at 11. If we order several at a time we can get them for about 25 bucks each - Mt. Fork rents them for $40 a day) Dam release will start at 12. Float will take around 2-3 hours.
Camp Saturday night at either Hot Springs National Park or Lake Catherine State Park.
Get up Sunday morning and hike the Grand Promenade Trail in Hot Springs at 9:00. It’s only 3/4 of a mile.
Then go to Garvan Woodland Gardens and spend a couple of hours there. Lunch at the Superior Bathhouse Brewery then head home. Garvan Gardens video - https://youtu.be/MzZcoesElrk
