The Monday, October 6, 2025 full moon is called the Harvest Moon this year as well as the Hunter's Moon. It is a Super Moon predicted to rise at 6:34 PM. Super moons are bigger and brighter than usual. This hike is planned to cover about 6 miles round trip; 3 miles to the peak and 3 back. We will meet at the Shady Lake Lodge parking area at 4 PM and car pool or caravan to the "horse camp" to begin the hike rather than start at Shady Lake (Starting at Shady Lake adds about a half mile to hike, which you can do on your own if you wish.) This plan should put us at the peak about or before moonrise at a speed of less that 2 mph. The…
