About the event

From Dee Jaye:

Several of us have already made reservations for June 2024.

3 of us have creekside camps already reserved.  There are 5 cabins left at this time,  3 primitive tents sites and many tent or RV sites WITH water and electricity.

Here's a link to the  campground. Camp spots and cabins go quickly.

Campground Reservation Rules

3 tents per site electricity and water

1 RV with electricity and water.

Find you a friend and make plans.  Sites go quickly.

So many things to do in this area. So much fun.

Also consider this:

There is a page that is called RVShare where you can rent a RV and have it delivered to the campground of your choice for a much cheaper cost than a cabin stay.  Just about anywhere you may want to go.

https://rvshare.com/

So camping on the creek is more accessible this way to all those that don't own an RV. Think about it, check it out.

Dates June 16-25

Sylamore Creek Campout  in the Ozarks St. Francis National Forest Event

This campout and creek run is being geared up for the grandkids, and grownups that want to have a good old creek campout fun time in the Ozarks-St. Francis National Forest.

A good old partial primitive camp in the mountains. Bring a tent, RV or rent a cabin.

I will be taking my own kayaks to run different parts of the river pending water levels of Sylamore Creek and the White River. If you come, I would suggest the same to bring your own. There are kayak rentals in that area.  But we may not be paddling the same locations that outfitters take you.  Kayaking will be pending water levels and weather.

Cell phone service in many areas will be very limited to none. Best to let me know ahead that you are coming.

WE DO NOT HAVE A SET SCHEDULE. All plans are Water & Weather and grandkid Pending . We will make plans on whatever we decide from day to day depending on weather & water. GO WITH THE FLOW Schedule!

We may lay in the creek all day and drink beer and play with the kiddos. We may bounce from one spot to the next spot. We will make those decisions day by day. Campout, cookout creeking fun.

There are a lot of nice swimming holes and hiking trails to play in and see in this area. There are caverns to explore, horseback riding, fishing and kayaking and more.

There are other RV campgrounds with cabins along the White River in Allison Arkansas.  See those links below. There may be others I am not sure. Just google Allison Arkansas camping.

Check out the web links to all these areas. I have listed the COE information on the locations.

Sylamore Creek Camp Rules:

To keep this campground nice for you and others, please follow these necessary rules of conduct.

  • Quiet hours are from 10:00PM to 8:00AM
  • Pets (Camping Only) must be on a leash at all times when outside! All droppings need to be picked up and tied in a plastic bag and put in dumpster. No barking allowed. No aggressive animals. Dogs that bark at everything annoy everyone!
  • No swearing, cursing or fighting. This can get you evicted immediately!! This is a family campground!!
  • No daytime visitors allowed. Just because you rented a site doesn’t give you the right to invite your friends. Day Passes are only available Sunday thru Thursday and must be paid for at the office when arriving. Holiday weekends may be restricted further.
  • Please keep our bathrooms CLEAN! Don’t do anything in our bathrooms that you wouldn’t do in your mother’s home.
  • No more than 3 tents or one camper per site. If there are two campers on a site, each will be charged a minimum of $30 per night.
  • Anyone who fails to follow any of the rules of the campground may be evicted at any time, day or night, with no refund. Anyone who tries to argue with that decision will soon have a Sheriff’s Deputy visiting them.
