About the event

Hi BCOS friends!

There is a Water Sweep community service event in Ouachita Parish coming up on Saturday, September 13.  We can take this opportunity to do a little community service to clean up Cheniere Area 8, and afterwards we can paddle out to a nearby beaver dam and see all the Cypress sticks with beaver chew marks. These sticks are lightweight, sturdy & very unique, so if the beavers don't mind sharing a few with us, they can be repurposed into excellent hiking sticks. Afterwards we can grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant (TBD), and for those who wish to stay and play a bit longer, there's an outdoor concert and the annual "Grape Stomp" happening later that afternoon at Landry's Vineyard in West Monroe, starting at 3:30 pm. Last year Misheal Burney took home the prize in the Lucille Ball costume contest!
