First Day Hike - Bodcau

When:  Monday 1/1/24 at 10 am

Where:  Bodcau Dam (Durden Hills Nature Trails)

Cost:  no cost but need to "check in" either using the LDWF app or at the check in station on site

Parking/amenitites:  Meeting in the parking lot at the iron ranger station (check in station) at the TOP of Bodcau Dam;  There are restrooms DOWN the hill from this parking area in the Tom Merrill campgrounds (arrive EARLY so you have time to hit those restrooms before the hike)

Duration:  Planning to hike the downstream ORANGE loop (about 2 miles)

What to bring:  The usual... water, hiking stick, bug spray

Pets:  These trails are dog-friendly (must be leashed;  be prepared to pick up after your pet)

Other:  Bring a small garbage bag if you're willing to help pick up/carry out any trash we find along the trail.
