About the event
Saturday October 4th there will be an easy/beginner nature walk at Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Center outside of Benton, LA. The first part of the walk will be the perimeter of the nature trail, which is 1.2 miles (very little elevation). If you stay and want more, we will pick up the pace and do more.
The director has given us a discount to get into the park. If you mention "Bayou Chapter of the Ozark Society" at the front gate, you will pay only $3 (regular fee is $5 per person).
Remember to apply bug spray and bring water. It's a pretty shady path so you may not need sunscreen.
