🌿🛶 Paddle, explore, and discover with us on Saturday, October 24!
Start the morning with a 5.5-mile kayak trip from the Columbia Boat Docks to the Charles Allen Ouachita River Nature Preserve. Kayakers launch at 7 a.m., and all kayakers are welcome!
At the preserve, join ULM’s Annual 2026 BioBlitz. ULM biology students and faculty will lead hikes as we look for birds, plants, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and more. The bird hike begins at 8 a.m., with additional guided nature hikes from 1–3 p.m. Live exhibits and opportunities to explore continue throughout the day.
A food truck will be at the preserve, too! Come for the kayak trip, the BioBlitz, or both. We hope to see you there! 🌳
