**update from Marian: This Friday, we will be hiking at Caney Lakes in Minden. We’ll hike about 4.5 miles, doing the Lost Woman Loop. Admission to the park is $5 per vehicle. Meet at the boat launch at 9:00am or if you want to caravan, we’ll meet at Nicky’s on Texas Street by Louisiana Downs at 8:15am. Make sure you let me know if you’ll be hiking with us and if you want to caravan from Nicky’s. Weather is looking really good for Friday!

Cost: There is a $5 per vehicle fee. Stop at the iron ranger (check-in spot) to put your $5 in envelope (remember to tear off the part to put on your dash) and place envelope in slot (there's also a new device at the check in station that appears to accept credit card payments).
