Hi BCOS friends!
On Saturday, April 19, Steve Birmingham and I will lead a paddle at Black Bayou Lake in Monroe. Okay, more realistically, Steve is the real, fearless leader and I'm just his not-so-fearless lovely assistant... but we'll make do! We'll be paddling out to the Eagles Nest on one of the most beautiful refuges in Louisiana. Wildlife spotting guaranteed! We are hoping to see 2 Adult Eagles and a young immature Eaglet that was hatched in January of this year. This will be a 4-mile paddle (2 miles to the Eagles Nest + 2 miles back), with the option of adding another mile or so if we want to paddle a bit further to see more alligators.
